We have an alternative way of searching for companies called the "Explorer" which allows you to use search using either company names or technologies to focus on those of the most relevance for you.
When you start typing into the search bar, we will suggest both technology keywords and companies based on your input.
When searching for a company, we will prioritize recalling those who have an exact match with the inputted name, which also considers aliases.
When searching for a technology (signal), we will look into various different data types (patents, news, literature) to find the companies which operate in that technology area. You can also choose to include synonyms.
On the left-hand side of the page, you have various refinement options to filter your results with:
- Company Main Fields - This will filter your results based on company names, where both original names and aliases can be considered.
- Startups - Filters to only startup companies within your results.
- Results Range - Expand your search out to consider all organization types rather than just companies.
- Company Type - Filter you results based off the types of company that are included.
- Industries - Filters companies based on their industry.
- Location - Filter companies to where they are headquartered.
- Founded Year - Filter companies based on the year they were founded.
- No. Of Employees - Filter companies based on their number of employees.
- Has Been Acquired - Filter companies based on if they have/haven't been acquired by another.
Lastly, from the top right of this area you are able to sort your results either by the companies' innovation rank (we built our own algorithm for this) or relevance to the searched topic, export, highlight key words or view in either list of tabular form.
