Removal of Insights Reports

On the 5th of September 2024, five Insights reports will be deleted. 

The impacted reports include:

1. Value Patent Portfolio Report
2. Licensee Locator Report
3. Litigation Threat Report
4. Examine Litigation History Report
5. Simulate A Merger Report

As a results you will no longer be able to generate these reports and any saved historic reports will be deleted. Therefore, to ensure that your data isn't lost, before 05.09.24 you must export this data from Patsnap. 

How to export Insights reports:

To export an Insights report, first go to Insights using the left-hand navigation bar in Analytics:

Next, go to "My Reports" and filter for report types which will be deleted:

Next, click into the reports which you would like to export:

Then select "Export All" in the top right hand corner:

Repeat this for all reports which you would like to save, as the following reports will be deleted from "My Reports" list on the 05.09.24:

Value Patent Portfolio Reports, Licensee Locator Reports, Litigation Threat Reports, Examine Litigation History Reports, and Simulate A Merger Reports

How to recreate the Insights reports

Most of the charts and graphs in the five reports cannot be recreated using the Custom Analysis tool within Analytics. However, we are developing a new feature called "Reports" in Analytics, where we will recreate these five reports as pre-generated Template Reports. We aim to have all five reports available in the Analytics product by the end of 2024.

As we add these Template Reports to Analytics (they will become available in different releases), we will update this article to inform you of their availability and guide you on how to recreate them in Analytics.
