Eureka Materials introduces the Substance Inquiry feature, a powerful tool that allows you to refine your search criteria based on specific formulations. This feature enhances your search experience by providing detailed options for specifying the materials you need.

Key Features

1. Enter Substance Details

   • You can enter the substance via its name, CAS number, or chemical formula. This flexibility ensures that you can search using the information most convenient or available to you.

2. Substance Pool Creation

   • As you enter substances, they are added to a substance pool. This pool serves as a comprehensive collection of all potential materials relevant to your search.

3. Construct Composition Options

   • For each substance in the pool, you can specify its role in the desired formulation:
     • Must Include: These are essential substances that must be present in the final composition.
     • Optionally Include: These substances can be included but are not essential.
     • Exclude: These substances should not be present in the final composition.

4. Selected Preview

   • This section provides a summary of your selections, showing a clear breakdown of the substances that must be included, optionally included, and excluded. It offers a quick overview to ensure that your search criteria are correctly set.

5. Results Display

   • Once your criteria are set, the search function scans through relevant databases, displaying the number of patents and papers found that match your specified formulation. This immediate feedback allows you to see the scope of available information and adjust your criteria as needed.

How to Use the Substance Inquiry Feature

You can access the Substance Inquiry feature by going to the home page of Eureka by Patsnap, and clicking on the 'Generate Ideas - Materials' tab, then 'Substance inquiry':

• • Start by entering the name, CAS number, or chemical formula of the substance you are interested in. You can enter multiple substances to create a comprehensive substance pool.

1. • Use the Selected Preview section to review your choices. Ensure that the substances are correctly categorized as must include, optionally include, or exclude.

• • Once on the results page, you can begin your analysis and also have the option to further filter/refine your results.
