Does my search influence what is considered a Hot Tag?

User-based search terms on the Patsnap platform are not taken into account towards the calculation of what is considered a "Hot Tag", so no need to worry! The Hot Tags are related to regulatory actions, for example: New Molecular Entity (NME) approvals and related information, which is found in public news articles. 

What determines whether something is considered a Hot Tag?

In most cases, there are few NME approvals each month, and there only dozens of NME approvals in a year so if there were multiple NMEs approved at the same time, the review priority will also be considered to determine the final list displayed on the Synapse Homepage.  Also considered is the innovativeness of the target, indication and drug.

How often is it updated?

The hot tags are updated typically 2-3 times a month.
