The Composition Search tool in the Patsnap Eureka platform is designed to help users discover technical solutions based on specific metal or inorganic component ranges. Whether you are working with a known component range or exploring new formulations, this tool enables precise targeting and comprehensive analysis of related technical solutions.
Use guide
Initially, you will be met with a periodic table of elements, and the option to select between atomic percentage and weight percentage.
- at% signifies atomic percentage, so Cu-27at%Al would have 27% of the atoms in the alloy as Aluminium and 73% of the atoms in the alloy as Copper.
- wt% signifies weight percentage, so Cu-27wt%Al would have 27% of the weight of the alloy as Aluminium and 73% of the weight of the alloy as Copper
1) Interactive Periodic Table: Select one or more elements directly from the periodic table to define your search criteria.
2) Element Range Inputs: Specify the proportion of elements in terms of weight percentage (%Wt) or atomic percentage (#At) for detailed composition analysis.
3) Filtering: from here you can filter your results and select the materials that meet your requirements and click the search to view all related technical solutions.
Filter Types: The top bar allows users to refine their search by selecting predefined material categories such as:
- All: Displays all results without category restriction.
- Alloy: Filters for metallic alloys.
- Tabular Inorganic: Focuses on inorganic, tabulated substances.
- Ceramic: Filters for ceramic materials.
- Mineral: Targets materials of mineral origin.
- Coordination Compound: Focuses on substances with coordinated chemical structures.
- Polymer: Filters for polymer materials.
- Element: Displays individual elemental compositions.
