What are each of the graphs within Analysis View?
The 8 graphs in Analysis View are as follows:
Application count over time
This visual depicts patent filing trends, with grants reflecting filing efficiency and success rate. Note: there is often a time lag between the application and publication of patents, typically spanning 18 months. As a result, the latest developments may not be displayed.
Top assignees
Indicates the key applicants within the selected records, while also highlighting their proportionate share of the records in the chosen dataset. Note: For applicants, it signifies their concentration among all records, while for inventors, it represents their concentration within their respective organizations.
Legal statuses
Indicates the current legal status of the selected patent. For example, the greater the proportion of patents in trial status, the more innovative the company has become in the recent past.
Trending technical topics
This analysis extracts keywords from the selected records, providing insights into their popular technical subject matters. Note: A single record may correspond to multiple technical themes, resulting in a higher frequency of technical themes compared to the number of records.
Global Patent Filing Distribution
Analyzing in which countries/reasons the technology is mainly located, the number of patent applications filed reflects to some extent the level of interest in that target market. This can help companies assess which are the main countries/regions to focus on when making a strategic technology placement.
Top inventors
This provides an overview of the inventors within the dataset, as well as the specific technical subjects they specialize in. Note: Each record may have multiple inventors, and each record may correspond to various technical topics. Therefore, the number of inventors and the frequency of technical topics may exceed the number of records.
Primary problems addressed
Indicates the specific problems that the selected records aim to resolve within their respective technical fields.
Top applicants over time
This shows how the rankings of top applicants for the selected records have changed over the past 20 years based on the number of applications they filed.
