What Do The Different Export Fields Mean? – Patsnap Help Center

When you reach the export area, if you go to Section 3. "Export Fields" and select "Custom Fields" from the drop-down menu, you will then see various "Available Fields".

Here is a list of the different export fields (grouped by type) that are available to you with explanations for each of them (any fields listed as "Advanced" are only for Standard licenses and above):

basic

Publication Number - This will be by default be a chosen field in any export and will display the publication numbers for the chosen patents.
Publication Date - This will display the publication dates for the chosen patents.
Application Date - This will display the application dates for the chosen patents.
Title - This will display the titles of the chosen patents.
Application Number - This will display the application numbers for the chosen patents.
Kind Code - This will display the kind codes for the chosen patents. You can find out more about kind codes in this article: Kind Codes - What Do They Mean?
Abstract - This will display the abstracts for the chosen patents.
Authority - This will display the authorities for the chosen patents.
Database - This will display the databases that the data for the chosen patents was collected from.
Application Year - This will display the year the application was filed for the chosen patents.
Application Year/Month - This will display the year and the month of the year the application was filed for the chosen patents.
Publication Year - This will display the year the chosen patents were published.
Publication Year/Month - This will display the year and the month of the year the chosen patents were published.
Issue Date - This will display the issue dates for the chosen patents.
Issue Year - This will display the year the chosen patents were issued.
Issue Year/Month - This will display the year and the month of the year the chosen patents were issued.
Abstract (Translated) - This will display the translations for the Non-English abstracts for the chosen patents.
Title (Translated) - This will display the translations for the Non-English titles for the chosen patents.
Patent Type - This will display the patent types for the chosen patents.
Description (Large text) (Advanced) - This will display the descriptions for the chosen patents.
Description (Translated) (Large text) (Advanced) - This will display the translations for the Non-English descriptions for the chosen patents.
Pages of Document (Advanced) - This will display the number of pages that the PDFs of the chosen patents have.
First Publication Date (Advanced) - This will display the first publication dates for the chosen patents.

assignee

Current Assignee - This will display the current assignees for the chosen patents.
Standardized Current Assignee - This will display the current assignees for the chosen patents after they have gone through our standardization algorithm. You may also find this article useful: What is the difference between Assignee and Standarised Assignee?
Standardized Original Assignee (Applicant) - This will display the original assignees for the chosen patents after they have gone through our standardization algorithm.
Original Assignee (Applicant) - This will display the original assignees for the chosen patents.
First Current Assignee - This will display the 1st assignee that is listed based on the most recent transfer for the chosen patents. If there has been no transfers for a patent then this will be based on the 1st assignee listed in the original patent document.
Count of Current Assignee - This will display the count of the number of current assignees for the chosen patents.
First Current Assignee Address - This will display the address of the 1st current assignee for the chosen patents.
Current Assignee Address - This will display the addresses of the current assignees for the chosen patents.
Current Assignee State/Province - This will display the states/provinces of the current assignees for the chosen patents where this is only valid for jurisdictions which have states or provinces.
Current Assignee Country (Advanced) - This will display the country of the current assignees for the chosen patents.
Original Assignee Address - This will display the addresses of the original assignees for the chosen patents.
Original Assignee Country (Advanced) - This will display the country of the original assignees for the chosen patents.
Original Assignee State/Province (Advanced) - This will display the states/provinces of the current assignees for the chosen patents where this is only valid for jurisdictions which have states or provinces.

inventor

Inventor Name - This will display the inventors for the chosen patents.
First Inventor - This will display the 1st inventor that is listed on the original patent document for the chosen patents.
Count of Inventors - This will display the count of the number of inventors for the chosen patents.
First Inventor Address - This will display the address of the 1st inventor for the chosen patents.
Inventor Address - This will display the addresses of the inventors for the chosen patents.

claims

First Claim - This will display the first claim listed within the claims for the chosen patents.
Claims - This will display the claims for the chosen patents.
Independent Claims - This will display the independent claims for the chosen patents, where the independent claims are the broadest claims for a patent.
Claims (Translated) (Advanced) - This will display the translations for the Non-English claims of the chosen patents.
Count of Claims (Advanced) - This will display the number of claims each of the chosen patents has.

IPC - This will display all the IPCs for the chosen patents.
Main IPC - This will display the main IPC for the chosen patents (this gives the full code for this IPC).
Main IPC Section - This will display the section of the main IPC for the chosen patents.
Main IPC Class - This will display the class of the main IPC for the chosen patents.
Main IPC Subclass - This will display the subclass of the main IPC for the chosen patents.
Main IPC Group - This will display the group of the main IPC for the chosen patents.
UPC - This will display all the UPCs for the chosen patents.

Estimated Expiry Date - This will display the estimated expiry dates of the chosen patents.
Simple Family - This will display all the simple family members for the chosen patents.
Simple Family Count - This will display the count of the simple family members for the chosen patents.
Simple Family Cited By Count - This will display the count of the total number of patents that cite the simple family members for the chosen patents.
Simple Family ID - This will display the unique code we have used to represent the simple family for the chosen patents.
INPADOC Family - This will display all the INPADOC family members for the chosen patents.
INPADOC Family Count - This will display the count of the INPADOC family members for the chosen patents.
INPADOC Family Cited By Count - This will display the count of the total number of patents that cite the INPADOC family members for the chosen patents.
INPADOC Family ID - This will display the unique code we have used to represent the INPADOC family for the chosen patents.
Priority Country - This will display the country codes of the patents that the chosen patents claim priority off.
Presumed Priority Country - This will display the country codes of the patents that the chosen patents claim priority off. If there are no priorities, it will put the country code of the chosen patents instead.
Priority Number - This will display the priority numbers of the patents that the chosen patents claim priority off.

Cited by Patents - This will display a list of the patents that cite the chosen patents.
Count of Cited by Patents - This will display the count of the number of patents that cite the chosen patents.
Cites Patents - This will display a list of the patents that are cited by the chosen patents.
Count of Cites Patents - This will display a count of the number of patents that are cited by the chosen patents.
Count of Cited by Patents Within 3 years - This will display the count of the number of patents that have cited the chosen patents within the last 3 years.
Count of Cited by Patents Within 5 years - This will display the count of the number of patents that have cited the chosen patents within the last 5 years.

legal

Legal Status & Events - This will display the current legal status and legal events that have occurred for the chosen patents.
INPADOC Legal Status - This will display the transaction history for the chosen patents.
Legal Status Update Date - This will display the date which the current legal status became the case for the chosen patents.
Simple Legal Status - This will display the current simple legal status for the chosen patents.
Litigation Case Count - This will display the count of the total number of litigation cases the chosen patents have been involved in.
Plaintiff/Appellor - This will display the plaintiff in any litigation cases the chosen patents have been involved in.
Defendant/Appellee - This will display the defendant in any litigation cases the chosen patents have been involved in.
Chief Judge - This will display the chief judges for the litigation cases the chosen patents were involved in.
Judge - This will display the judges for the litigation cases the chosen patents were involved in.
Court - This will display the names/locations of the courts which the litigation cases that have involved the chosen patents have been.
Licensor - This will display the licensor in any licensing deals the chosen patents have been involved in.
Licensee - This will display the licensee in any licensing deals the chosen patents have been involved in.
License Type - This will display the types of licensing deals the chosen patents have been involved in, if they have indeed been involved in any licensing deals.
Pledgor - This will display the pledgor for any pledges that have been given for the chosen patents.
Pledgee - This will display the pledgee for any pledges that have been given for the chosen patents.
EP Designated State Status (Advanced) - This will display the legal status of the different EP Member states for the chosen patents.
WO National Phase Entries (Advanced) - This will display where the chosen patents have entered the National Phase.

others

Agency - This will display the agencies for the chosen patents where an agency is the law firm that an attorney works within.
Attorney Name - This will display the attorneys for the chosen patents.
Primary Examiner - This will display the primary examiners for the chosen patents.
Assistant Examiner - This will display the assistant examiners for the chosen patents.

Benefit Summary - This will display a summary of the benefit that is provided by the invention described by the chosen patents. (Only for CN/EP/JP patents)
SEP Information - This will display the Standard Organization as well as the Doc. Number of the SEP for the chosen patents.
