Experimental data is an important dataset in drug development and is required to show that pharmaceutical inventions work for their intended purpose. 13 new experimental property fields, including melting point, median lethal dose, etc., have been added. The experimental data information is manually curated by CAS which is more accurate and can be traced through the source references provided. This is also in the Properties search as a searchable field to allow you to identify a subset of chemicals with the properties of interest.
You can find the Experimental property data by conducting a structure search and then clicking on the structure you are interested in. You will then see the Experimental properties tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
The following is the full list of experimental property fields:
- density
- melting point
- boiling point
- glass transition temperature
- index of refraction
- optical power
- Conductivity
- conductance
- resistance
- Resistivity
- magnetic moment
- median lethal dose
- tensile Strength
