Relationships Overview

The Relationships tab within the company profile is a set of maps that show the connections between different entities. You can leverage this information to gain unique market insights, gather competitive intel, and uncover breakout companies.

To view the relationships related to a company of interest: 

1. Go on the company profile for them 
2. Click on the 'Relationships' tab. Learn more about relationship types and how you can interact with the relationship map.

After clicking on 'Relationships', you'll be able to view the entities related to your company of interest. This shows how the entities are related to each other, with the type of connections between them in 5 different maps. Under the 'Relationships' tab, you will also find the Corporate Tree as well as the Subsidiary Lists for the company.

The corporate tree can also be exported as an Excel file.

Subsidiary Lists

The Subsidiary Lists section lists all the subsidiaries which have patent filing activities and sorts them by the total patent count.

Technology Collaboration Network

Technology Citation Network

This map shows the top companies/institutions your company of interest is referencing or have had their technology cited by. The numbers on the lines represent the total citation count from referrer to source. It reveals where the technologies of your company of interest came from and how they impact the innovation that comes from this moving forward.

Technology Operation Network

This map shows the top companies/institutions that have patent transfer/licensing activities with your company of interest. The numbers on the lines represent the total number of patents transferred/licensed from source company to the target. It reveals the technology ownership transition of your company of interest regarding patent operation activities.

It's also worth noting that the timeline is not available for transfers.

Technology Legal Risk

This map shows the top companies/institutions that have patent litigation, pledge records with your company of interest. The numbers on the lines represent the total patent lawsuits or pledge agreements between your company of interest and another company. It reveals the infringement or invalidity risk of your company of interest in this specific area of technical innovation.

It's also worth noting that the timeline is not available for pledges.

Capital Market Deals

This map shows the top companies that have investment or acquisition deals with your company of interest. The numbers on the lines represent the total deal count between your company of interest and another company. It reveals the activities in the capital market for your company of interest.
