Clinical Trial Result Section
The results of clinical trials are important as they include the efficacy and safety information of the therapy being tested. Currently, users must conduct secondary research to identify and collate clinical trial results for drugs of interest, which is a manual effort, and some data sources may be missed. Therefore, the ‘Clinical Result’ section has been added to the drug detail page to provide an overview of the clinical trial results for a given drug, with published results sourced from clinical trial registries, PubMed, and conferences. Filters include indications, phase, and evaluation (positive, non-inferior, etc.). Further details of the results (Participant Flow, Baseline, and Outcome Measures) can be viewed by clicking on the study identifier.
Clinical Trial Result Search
While we have clinical trial results in Synapse, users are unable to search through to identify trials with endpoints of interest. Therefore a search page has been added for trial results, allowing users to identify and focus on clinical trials with similar outcomes. For example, identifying any clinical trials having AE reports on stomatitis.
Other filters include whether the trial results are positive or negative, mono or combo therapy, etc. This can aid in making informed decisions around clinical trial strategy by analyzing current trends in outcomes. Please note that Freemium users can use the Search but can only view the top 1 result.
