How Would I Save A Patent Family To A Workspace?

You can save a patent family to a Workspace by searching for one of it's members and clicking on the "Save to Workspace" button on the results page.

Once you have done this, you will be given the option to either save just that patent or all of it's family members for each type of family to that Workspace as well.

Alternatively, you can use our family expansion tool, which will add family members from existing patents into the workspace. This can be accessed under the "Data Management" tab, then selecting "Automatic update & expansion". 

Please note that irrespective of the family grouping you have selected for the existing Workspace folder; the family expansion will always be performed for "ungrouped" results.
