Why Can't I Highlight/Copy Words From A PDF File?

The ability to highlight words from a downloaded PDF document, or to search from within a PDF is given when a PDF has recieved OCR (Optical Character Recognition). 

The availability of OCR patents in Patsnap depends on the office from which we recieve those documents. It's unfortunately not something Patsnap has control over.
