Do the search results also include expired patents? Is there a way to view the expiration dates?

Yes, the search results do include expired patents. You can refine to and refine away expired or invalid patents using the left-hand side refining section on the search result page. We also have a combined Simple Legal Status of Inactive, if you wish to look at all Invalid, Expired and Revoked patents.

We also have an email alert that you can get set up on your lists that informs you weekly, monthly or daily of patent expirations within the list.

You can view the expiry dates for these patents by looking at the "Expiry Date" (available for  EP/US/GB/JP/CN documents)  or "Estimated Expiry Date" for a patent given on the "Abstract" tab whilst viewing a patent.
