The first thing you will notice when you open up a patent on Patsnap Eureka is a comprehensive AI-extracted technical summary created by Patsnap GPT.

This helps you quickly interpret patents by identifying three key elements:

  1. Problems solved by the technology
  2. Method used
  3. Benefits of the technology

 

Overview

On Eureka Materials, you will notice a patent overview. This overview contains key sections of patents that you can easily click to navigate to relevant parts of the document.

These key sections include:

  • Abstract
  • Description
  • Application Information
  • Claims
  • A handy 'Scroll to top' button

Abstract   

The Abstract section includes helpful details such as:

  • A summary of the patent
  • Materials associated with the patent
  • Substances mentioned within the patent
  • The application domain and technology topic

Description 

The next option from the overview page is Description, where you can view a detailed and broken-down description of the patent. This section includes anchor links on the right-hand side for easy navigation.

Claims 

In the Claims section, you can view the claims of the patent as a list, just as they are shown in the official patent document.

Application Information

Under the Application Information section, you can find general patent information, including:

  • Application Number and Date
  • Publication Number and Date
  • Assignee
  • IPC/CPC classifications

 

Important Fields to Note:

  1. Strategic Emerging Industry Classification (CN):
    This classification is used to tag patents, technologies, or entities in high-priority domains, enabling better alignment with investment and R&D focus areas. It provides a structured way to analyze patents under these classifications for specific regions or globally.

  2. GBC Classification:

Useful Features

Under the patent title, you will find several useful Patsnap features that help you analyze or work more efficiently within the patent:

    This button allows you to access the original PDF of the patent and download it for offline viewing.

  2. Translation Options:
    Every patent can be translated into English and Chinese, with additional languages available if provided by the publishing patent office.

  3. Tools within Every Patsnap Patent:

    • Custom Highlighter:
      Enter keywords to search within the document. These will be highlighted for easy reference.
    • Comment Tab:
      Add company or private comments that will appear in your workspace if you save the patent.
    • Custom Field Tab:
