Searching in Materials
There are multiple types of search options available in Eureka Materials, with each search offering its own advantage. The main types of search include: General search, Material profile search, Substance inquiry search, Composition search and Structure search.
General Search
This search option provides a basic keyword search, allowing you to find matches for patents. It will look through the title, abstract and claims of the Patsnap database. When entering multiple keywords, the system will treat the search as if an OR operator has been used.
The basic operators are AND, OR, and NOT. They allow you to say whether words must be returned, whether they are optional, or not wanted at all.
OR: We would usually insert OR between terms used to provide a variant or set of options in your search. It retrieves patents containing either or both of the keywords or criteria.
AND: AND serves as a bridge between more than one term that you want to categorically appear with each other. It retrieves patents containing both keywords or criteria. Either keyword or criteria may appear first.
NOT: This operator works like the word NOT does in day-to-day life. If you want to look for some terms, but NOT others, you can list the others after the operator NOT. It retrieves patents containing the first keyword but not containing the second keyword.
Advanced Search
The advanced search option allows users to build a more complex query, often times narrowing the search to relevant results.
The advanced search allows you to customise the boolean operator and several different fields, it is important to note that each field can only be used once.
As an example, the property search field allows you to enter any property e.g atomic %, which you can then combine with other fields such as the keyword field to create a highly specific search query.
Material profile search
The material profile search feature with the SPUM model is a robust tool designed to meet the needs of professionals who require precise and detailed material information. By standardizing data into the SPUM components, Eureka Materials ensures that your search results are specific, accurate, and highly relevant to your needs.
Substance Inquiry
The Substance Inquiry feature of Eureka Materials significantly enhances the precision and relevance of your searches. Whether you are conducting research or developing new materials, this tool allows you to customize your search criteria to meet your specific needs, ensuring that you find the most relevant and accurate information for your projects.
Composition Search
The Composition Search tool in the Patsnap Eureka platform is designed to help users discover technical solutions based on specific metal or inorganic component ranges. Whether you are working with a known component range or exploring new formulations, this tool enables precise targeting and comprehensive analysis of related technical solutions.
Structure Search
The structure search feature allows you to search for materials using structural drawings, making it a powerful tool for dealing with complex and varying chemistries
